There is no school for exactly what I do and there is no easy way to learn the things that I know about the internet. It all started as a hobby when I was a child (programming on my Commodore 64) and grew into a profession that I truly enjoy. I have watched the internet grow from baud 5600 (when it was purely a connection between corporate computers), to AOL/CompuServe (when dial-up was the 'hot' rage of the 80's), to the Yahoo! internet boom of the 90's, and then the dawn of Google in the late 90's. Along the way I have taught myself HTML, PHP, MySQL, and many other computer languages that you probably would fall asleep reading about. I have learned much about search engines, information systems, websites, databases etc. that other 'consultants' simply don't know about because they are too busy trying to 'game' the systems instead of taking the time to learn them. Then about 8 years ago, I began applying my passion for training to help other people learn how to use the internet to create more business for them.

I started with a small eBay store (back when eBay was cheap and PayPal was free) and grew my small company to a full-fledged e-commerce site (rare back then) that grossed $300K in its first year. I imported product from all over the world and ran my entire business from a laptop computer. I was number one on Google before number one on Google meant anything to anyone and realized I was seriously on to something. I worked with content on my site to show up for different search terms. This is YEARS before search engine optimization was even thought of by most people. Heck, most people thought AOL WAS the internet (remember... You've got mail!). I was a geek. My friends thought I was crazy. My family thought I was crazy. I would sit up for 2-3 days playing with my site and watching the numbers climb. Geek was paying. In my first year, I opened a brick-and-mortar location to keep up with the demand.

Then, in 2004 my husband and I moved due to his Navy relocation. I was forced to sell my original company. I had to start from scratch with a new company, a new website, a new strategy to make money on the internet. I decided I liked virtual tours. They were 'cool' and I really wanted to get out of the house and do something. So, I started a virtual tour company and named it Volusia 360 LLC after the county we lived in and the 360 degree product.

The new company didn't do as well as the first. I wasn't selling very many virtual tours at all in my first few months. I was spending more time putting tours together and taking pictures than I was making money.

Something was wrong.

I started talking to some of my clients about how they were using virtual tours in their marketing efforts. After a while I started to notice that I was spending more time teaching people about the internet than I was creating virtual tours. I decided that I was onto something again. I hired freelance photographers for the photography and started a training program for my clients. The training program taught small business people how to use not only virtual tours... but also their websites and the internet. Within a year the business grew to service over 158 clients in 3 counties and it just continued to grow exponentially.

Then it happened.

I received a phone call from the company that I used to create the virtual tours. They wanted to know how I had grown to service so many clients with their virtual tour product. After about an hour, the president of the company was on the phone with me asking me to develop a training program for other virtual tour providers so that they could grow their virtual tour companies as well. Rock Pointe Marketing was born and I began to train people all over the world. My little company grew fast and Rock Pointe Marketing was acquired by the larger company in 2008.

Fast forward to 2011. Today I am a freelance internet marketing consultant working for clients on an individual basis. I work with each company, with each client, one-at-a-time and help them achieve phenomenal results.

What I do is simple.

I help clients dominate THEIR market on the internet. I work with people that need my knowledge, appreciate my experience and leverage me to increase their online exposure. My clients understand that THEY have to concentrate on their business and it is MY job to work behind-the-scenes on the internet to increase their internet exposure. Quite simply, I am their secret weapon on the internet. While other consultants and internet 'experts' are using out-bound marketing to lure clients into hiring them for skills that are not even working for them, I am working with a select few clients that were smart enough to seek me out. US Navy - Electronics Technician

I joined the US Navy in 1998 to become an Electronics Technician. Although I was primarily a technician, I was asked to train other technicians for advancement exams. I won several awards for my training strategies including one awarded by Atlantic Fleet (I was shore based... never touched a boat). To put this in perspective... I was training 18-to-20-something year olds how to pass highly technical advancement exams for electronics & communication systems. These were kids that would rather be home playing playstation than studying for an advancement exam! Not only was I highly successful in getting them trained quickly... I won award-after-award for the results... one of those awards I was handed literally as I was walking out the door. I don't even think I was technically 'in the Navy' anymore when i received my last award.

In November 2004, I started offering virtual tour (360 degree photography) services under the name Volusia360 LLC. Over the next 3 years the company would develop internet marketing systems that trained real estate agents and small businesses to better market their products & services on the internet. The business grew to service over 158 real estate agents in Volusia, Seminole and Orange counties (Florida) with 3 photographers and an 1100 sq ft office in Deltona Florida.

In the summer of 2006, I was approached by the President and Vice-President of Real Tour Vision (RTV, Inc.) to formulate a marketing system to be distributed to certified providers of virtual tour & real estate marketing products. By November 2006, I had created an entire marketing system and training course in the form of a membership site for RTV certified providers. The internet-based training system was called the 'Precision Marketing System' and included a 300-page marketing manual complete with training CDs. The program was an immediate success and would grow over the next year to make the company, Rock Pointe Marketing (RPM), an acquirable asset for RTV in January 2008.

I joined Real Tour Vision's (RTV) team in January 2008 and headed both the company's marketing and training departments as the National Marketing Manager for the company. Bringing to the table my experience in internet marketing, website design, search engine optimization, copywriting, corporate training, business ownership and the virtual tour industry, I worked with RTV certified providers and business owners in the designing and implementation of their own strategic marketing plans. I also proposed and headed up the creation of training webinars designed to coach RTV providers and business owners how to train their clients and customers in internet marketing.
