Eager to try Facebook Home? You won't be able to do that today, but on April 12, you'll be able to download the software on three currently available smartphones that are supported by the new Facebook Home Android experience.

The most seamless way to get your hands on Facebook Home is to pick up HTC's new phone specifically created for it, the HTC First. It'll be available on April 12 for $99.99 with a two-year contract, exclusively from AT&T. It will have a 4.3-inch glass display, Android 4.1 Jellybean underneath, and will be available in four colors: black, white, light blue and red.

According to Zuckerberg, there will be four Android phones that will support an installation of Facebook Home from the Google Play Store, in addition to the preinstalled Facebook Home on the new HTC First. "At first we'll be supporting a few devices," Zuckerberg said, including the HTC One, HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy S 4 (that will be in the future), and the Samsung Galaxy Note II. 3 Companies You Hate But Investors Love

There's a disconnect between companies that are popular with consumers and companies that are popular with investors

This infographic sets out to show you a microcosm of that phenomenon, picking out three companies that are loathed by many but the favorite of many investors, and three companies that are loved by consumers but might cause investors to be more wary.

Created by GreatBusinessSchools.org, the infographic taps sources such as BusinessWeek, Bloomberg, Forbes and The Wall Street Journal, resulting in a boatload of illustrated data. It shows how well the stocks of those disliked companies have done over the past three years, and explains why they've ended up in this list of questionable corporations.

Map Shows Where 220mph Trains Would Go in the U.S.

Whether a high-speed rail system ever gets built in the United States is still up in the air, but if it is, artist and activist Alfred Twu has figured out exactly where those speedy rail lines should go.

Twu started working on this map in 2009, when President Obama's plan to build high-speed rail was unveiled. "There were many such maps being made by various designers," says Twu, but since then he's updated the map with labels and put it on Facebook, and it struck a chord. It's gone viral

"With the huge response it's generated, I created a petition to the White House to fund such a system," he told Mashable. After just a week, that White House petition already has 27,528 signatures.

Why Do Internet Trolls Exist?

As you've probably discovered, there are people lurking all over the web who find great joy in humiliating and attacking others. This insightful infographic describes the inner workings of Internet trolls, explaining why they decide to spend their online time in attack mode. Tapping the expertise of psychologists and experts, it offers solid reasons why this scourge of the Internet continues.

We all like to think that most people mean well, and are inherently good. Even if that's true, the infographic shows us instances where even some good people can quickly turn bad, all because of a variety of situations related to mob behavior.

Double Comic Feature: Zuck and Users Weigh In on Facebook Graph Search

When Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg rolled out Facebook Graph Search this week, what was he really thinking? Our friends Nitrozac and Snaggy at The Joy of Tech were somehow able to eavesdrop on his darkest thoughts, which they faithfully reproduced here in all their glory:

Comic: New Year’s Resolutions of the Tech Stars

By now, you've probably narrowed down your New Year's resolutions. Perhaps you've chosen one of our favorite WTF resolutions, such as "Stop using my cat as an excuse for a boyfriend."

Our friends Nitrozac and Snaggy at The Joy of Tech did some eavesdropping during the recent holiday celebration, and discovered the New Year's resolutions of tech celebrities such as Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg, Jony Ive, Steve Ballmer and even Apple's stock:

Twitter to Offer Photo Filters by End of This Year, Report Says

If sources familiar with the matter are correct, Twitter might be getting into the photo-filter business before the end of this year. According to sources, the microblogging service is planning to add a variety of photo filters to its official app, and employees of the company are reportedly already testing the new features.

All Things Digital got a tip that such filters would be released on its app before the end of 2012. Meanwhile, The Next Web pointed out numerous telltale photos using black-and-white filters taken and posted by the company's chairman, Jack Dorsey.

Facebook Rolls Out Official Like Button Extension for Chrome

Facebook has introduced a "Like" extension for the Chrome browser.

Now you might be asking: Wasn't there already a third-party Chrome extension that did this? Yes, but this official Facebook one's better, showing you how many others have clicked Like on the page you're viewing.

We tried it, and the extension installs in seconds. It immediately works well, making short work of showing all your Facebook pals what you like, no matter where you roam on the Interwebs. It shows up alongside all the other extension buttons and also lets you access its Likeatude in Chrome's right-click menu.

Want to give it a try? It's available free at the Chrome Web Store.
